I notice all my 9 plugins have a new PTE for Canadian English, also a guy named Guido (but not me):
Don’t know him, and I notice his last activity was 12 years ago..
And with Russian language I do have a PTE, but he is not listed as PTE:
What’s happening here? Can I ignore this?
Because I don’t have Slack I’m trying to find an answer here..
I have just finished translating theme and few plugins to my language (using Loco Translate tool) and I want to share it, but I don’t know how to import those files here? Is it even possible?
Hi i have updatet a version of danish lang.. see this : https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/anspress-question-answer
How and when do it updat the version so i can use it ?
Yesterday, a Text domain was added to this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/rename-wp-login/
There should be new strings to translate here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/rename-wp-login/stable/es/default
but the list of strings was not updated. Is this because this plugins didn’t define a Text domain when it was imported to translate.wordpress.org?
Also, the plugin’s name was changed and it was not updated in translate.wordpress.org
If a plugin has a string which is also in the WP core, should it add a text domain or not?
For example, Yoast SEO adds it: __( ‘Settings’, ‘wordpress-seo’ )
One of my plugins (Nav Menu Roles) takes the Walker_Nav_Menu class and extends it, but only adds an action hook. The rest of the class is unchanged from the core version. Do I need to add my plugin as the text-domain for the core strings in this class? This seems like it would result in untranslated strings since core language packs have already translated them in to far more languages than my plugin.
I have translated many plugins and some themes, but I don’t know how I can “force” to appears with the new locale… or I just had to wait untill the owner creates a new “compilation”?
I’m starting to translate for the Chinese project, but I have a question: Is there a place where I can find a list of accepted translations for jargon words? For example: “widget.” I don’t want to come up with a new translation if there already is one.
How do the translations of the GlotPress web interface itself (i.e., those at https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/glotpress/dev) get implemented?
Hello there. A question about beta and RC.
Assume that I want to release a WP 3.9-RC2 in Spanish to allow some people to test it and test the translations.
Revision is 28135. Which are the steps that I have to follow to do this? I don’t mind if it’s not easy or I have to do some SVN job.
Hi all, how can I see who is validating translations in my language?
Who can explain me what is the correct way to translate the categories and what its url should look like? to me that is not clear enough in the documentation.
For romanian wordpress newest version is 3.5.2, does this have to do with the translation not beeing completed? what can be done to bring it up to date (3.7 at least…)?
Hey, I have a question. So, Bulgrian for WordPress 3.5.x is completed on translate.wordpress.com, but the Bulgarian team is kinda inactive.. the latest version with Bulgarian is 3.2.1 according to bg.wordpress.org… and I would really like to use the full Bulgarian translation, becuse I updated to the new versions when I saw that the Bulgarian team is not updating WP anymore, and now I have some stuff in Bulgarian and some in English… BUT when I download the .po and .mo file from the translation it doesn’t have all of the strings… the strings are missing from the file, not that they are not translated… what to do?
Where we can find a .pot file to update the rosetta using previous translations?
