Hi,

I notice all my 9 plugins have a new PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. for Canadian English, also a guy named Guido (but not me):

Don’t know him, and I notice his last activity was 12 years ago..

And with Russian language I do have a PTE, but he is not listed as PTE:
https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/ru/default/wp-plugins/very-simple-contact-form

What’s happening here? Can I ignore this?

Because I don’t have SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. I’m trying to find an answer here..

Yesterday, a Text domain was added to this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/rename-wp-login/
There should be new strings to translate here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/rename-wp-login/stable/es/default
but the list of stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. was not updated. Is this because this plugins didn’t define a Text domain when it was imported to translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins.?

Hello!
I have translated many plugins and some themes, but I don’t know how I can “force” to appears with the new localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/… or I just had to wait untill the owner creates a new “compilation”?
Thanks!

I’m starting to translate for the Chinese project…

I’m starting to translate for the Chinese project, but I have a question: Is there a place where I can find a list of accepted translations for jargon words? For example: “widgetWidget A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page. WordPress widgets were originally created to provide a simple and easy-to-use way of giving design and structure control of the WordPress theme to the user..” I don’t want to come up with a new translation if there already is one.

Hello there A question about beta and RC…

Hello there. A question about betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. and RCRelease Candidate A beta version of software with the potential to be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge..

Assume that I want to release a WP 3.9-RC2 in Spanish to allow some people to test it and test the translations.
Revision is 28135. Which are the steps that I have to follow to do this? I don’t mind if it’s not easy or I have to do some SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. Software developers use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). WordPress core and the wordpress.org released code are all centrally managed through SVN. https://subversion.apache.org/. job.

Hey, I have a question. So, Bulgrian for WordPress 3.5.x is completed on translate.wordpress.comWordPress.com An online implementation of WordPress code that lets you immediately access a new WordPress environment to publish your content. WordPress.com is a private company owned by Automattic that hosts the largest multisite in the world. This is arguably the best place to start blogging if you have never touched WordPress before. https://wordpress.com/, but the Bulgarian team is kinda inactive.. the latest version with Bulgarian is 3.2.1 according to bg.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/… and I would really like to use the full Bulgarian translation, becuse I updated to the new versions when I saw that the Bulgarian team is not updating WP anymore, and now I have some stuff in Bulgarian and some in English… BUT when I download the .po and .moMO files MO, or Machine Object is a binary data file that contains object data referenced by a program. It is typically used to translate program code, and may be loaded or imported into the GNU gettext program. This is the format used in a WordPress install. These files are normally located inside .../wp-content/languages/ file from the translation it doesn’t have all of the stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.… the strings are missing from the file, not that they are not translated… what to do?
