Dear Polyglots,

I want to become a translation editorTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles: General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor for the Hong Kong traditional Chinese localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/.
I’ve translated the 4 files of 4.5.x already, and start to translate 4.6.x.
But the zh_HK locale is still inactive, where can I upload the files?

Best regards,
Wisley Chun

I’m starting to translate for the Chinese project…

I’m starting to translate for the Chinese project, but I have a question: Is there a place where I can find a list of accepted translations for jargon words? For example: “widgetWidget A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page. WordPress widgets were originally created to provide a simple and easy-to-use way of giving design and structure control of the WordPress theme to the user..” I don’t want to come up with a new translation if there already is one.

We could use your help translating a few…

We could use your help translating a few new strings in the upcoming WordPress for iOS release. For the major languages there are currently only 14 new pending strings so it shouldn’t be too much work. Here’s the link: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/ios/dev

We’re specifically looking for help translating the remaining bits of the app into Korean, Thai, Chinese, Russian, Norwegian, and Indonesian.
