Before uploading, please note that we do not accept machine translations that haven’t been checked by someone speaking fluently German. All translations should be done according to our guidelines (Style Guide, Glossary,…).

I have imported translations for all of them, so there are now 371 waiting stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ available for review. They have been checked by fluent speakers before submission – they are not unreviewed machine output.

I have deliberately left ru_RU out of this request: it already has an active translator with 85 approved strings, and I do not want to step over their work.

If any locale team prefers to review the strings before granting access, that is fine with me.

  Note: the only warning flagged is on the stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. “coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress.” translated as “Kern” in German. German capitalises nouns, so the automatic lowercase check is a false positive here.

  How did you obtain these translations?
  Oh, and most of the “warnings” you can get from the platform are about things that might break a site, like non-escapted percent signs in printf() stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software.     To clarify: my main goal is simply to have the pending translations reviewed by the respective local teams so that language packs can be generated for EvoMedia.

    Translation Review: For German (#de_DE), Spanish (#es_ES), French (#fr_FR), and Portuguese (#pt_BR), I used translation tools to provide an initial base for the community. I completely understand the quality standards and do not expect PTE status for these.       A few localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/, still, manage to regularly clear their backlog (Ref: https://translate.wordpress.org/stats/ ) but in most cases it’s more like:
      “Since this “translator” doesn’t know the language, it’s meaningless to provide feedback. If the translation is more or less OK, I’ll just approve it in bulk. If there are issues with more than 15-20% of the stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. (spot-checking), then I’ll just reject all their strings in bulk.”
      
      I suggest that you look at https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/plugin-theme-authors-guide/ for some ideas on how/where to look for translation volunteers.
