Profile: Profile editing, WP iOS Beta, iPhone 6+

Testing profile editing with iOSiOS The operating system used on iPhones and iPads. app betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. 6.0.0.20160208. Looks good. My only note is making About Me a textarea. Horizontally scrolling through a paragraph of text in a one line input field is awkward.

A visual survey of site icon terminology

Site icons recently landed in trunk using the terminology “Site icon”. We didn’t go with “favicon”. Favicon is an under-the-hood term, one with a lot of tedious history. Instead, we want to package title, tagline, and icon together as site identity. And, we already have some history with site/blog icon. Here’s a quick visual surveyVisual survey A visual survey is a collection of screenshots for a like set of screens or interfaces, such as all list table screens or all toolbar incarnations across various devices. These screens are not presented in the context of a particular flow.https://make.wordpress.org/test/tag/visual-survey/.

Toolbar flow: Delete a post, Create and chain edit a post, iPhone 6+

Here are a couple of toolbar flowFlow Flow is the path of screens and interactions taken to accomplish a task. It’s an experience vector. Flow is also a feeling. It’s being unselfconscious and in the zone. Flow is what happens when difficulties are removed and you are freed to pursue an activity without forming intentions. You just do it.

Flow is the actual user experience, in many ways. If you like, you can think of flow as a really comprehensive set of user stories. When you think about user flow, you’re thinking about exactly how a user will perform the tasks allowed by your product.Flow and Context
vizrecs I had laying around. These were done with 4.3 alpha, before the Customize icon landed in the toolbar.

Delete a post. Exercises Edit and Home in the toolbar.

Create a post and then chain edit it. Exercises + and Edit in the toolbar. Uses View Post in the publish/save notices to link from back to front, rather than the toolbar.
