Why I am requesting this:
Our plugins are used by many people in these language communities, and users often ask for complete translations. Some stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in these locales have been waiting for review for a long time, so users still see English text. New strings are also added with every release, and I want translations to stay up to date instead of falling behind.

How I will handle translations:

  • Every translation will be reviewed by a native speaker of the language before I approve it.
  • I will follow each localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/’s style guide and glossary.
  • I will not approve machine translation without human review.
  • I will only approve strings for our own plugins.
  • I will respect existing translations and contributors, and will not overwrite approved work without a good reason.
