Announcing Our Second Deputy in WordPress Training Team Deputy Representative Program

Following our proposal in January and valuable community feedback, weโ€™re excited to announce the launch of the Deputy Team Representative program for the WordPress Training Team. Weโ€™re also delighted to introduce Rade Jekiฤ‡ as our second Deputy Team Representative, who will begin his term in Q3 2025 (July-September).

Program Structure

The Deputy Team Representative role has been established as a quarterly position designed to support our existing Team Representatives and ensure continuous team operations. Each term aligns with the calendar quarters, with one deputy serving at a time.

Meet Our Second Deputy

Rade Jekiฤ‡ will serve as our inaugural Deputy Team Representative for Q3 2025 (July-September 2025). We look forward to his contributions in supporting our teamโ€™s initiatives and leadership.

Rade Jekic recently joined the Training Team Guide Program and has been excelling as a mentor, actively triaging various issues on the Training Team GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. He has been instrumental in helping others grow and learn about Training Team activities. Recognizing these exceptional qualities, we have decided to onboard him as the second Deputy Rep for the Training Team.

Iโ€™m Rade Jekiฤ‡, a WordPress contributor and team leader of the FrontEnd and WordPress teams at SpotHopper. I began working with WordPress nearly 13 years ago and have been passionate about it ever since. As a dedicated WordPress enthusiast, I enjoy helping others learn, solve challenges, and grow in their development journey, whether theyโ€™re tackling small bugs or complex tasks in the WordPress world.

My primary area of contribution is the Training team, where I support and guide new contributors, helping them gain the skills to train and help others. Iโ€™m always eager to contribute, work with others, and help make WordPress easier to use for people everywhere.
