Customizing a version of the WordPress logo for local communities and events is one of the fun parts of being a WordPress organizer. There are rules for using the logo, though, some well-documented and others not. I’ve asked Matt Thomas to write up the ones that aren’t currently documented, which he’ll be working on next week. I’d like to get a couple of volunteers to do a review of existing logos (meetupsMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook., WordCamps) once those are available, so we can identify and make a list of any that need to be fixed (fauxgos, using the circle-W as a letter in a word,putting P or C in a circle after the circle-W, etc). This won’t happen until the logo rules are updated, so at least a week from now, or probably two, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to line up a couple of people now.

Required Qualifications: Design eye for detail, ability to spot a WordPress fauxgo at fifty paces. 🙂
