Steps
- Find a local event and connect with the organizers. Browse upcoming WordPress events and find one near you. Meetups, WordCamps, and other WordPress gatherings all benefit from extra promotion. Click through to the event listing and contact the organizers via the event website or meetup.com. Let them know you’d like to help with promotion and ask what they need most.

Plan and run your campaign. Work with the organizers to decide what would be most useful — social media, flyers, outreach to local groups, or all of the above.

Share what you did. After the event, post a brief summary in #community-events on Slack about what you promoted, which channels you used, and what worked. This helps other contributors learn from your experience.
