Student Onboarding (Self-onboarding Pilot)

Step 1: Welcome Email to the Course

When the student in the “Students” table match these conditions:

1. Full Name is not empty
2. Email is not empty
3. Educational Institutions is not empty
4. Status is In Sensei Self-onboarding
5. Mentor is not empty

• The automation “Add students to Students Reports and Feedback” creates a record for the student in ‘Students Reports’ and ‘Feedback’.
• The automation “Email – [EN] – Self-onboarding Student Welcome Email” sends the welcome email only to the student. That email includes step-by-step instructions to start and their personal link to complete their Student Reports table (here are the animated instructions on how that works with Fillout from the student point of view).

Step 2: Contact with their mentor

When these conditions are met:

1. Full Name is not empty
2. Email is not empty
3. Educational Institutions is not empty
4. Status is In Sensei Self-onboarding
5. Mentor is not empty
6. SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/ is not empty
7. Beginner WordPress User – Final grade is not empty.
8. Basic principles of conflict resolution – Final grade is not empty.

The automation “2nd Email – Self-onboarding student contact with their mentor” sends them an email with their mentor in copy inviting them to contact their mentor.
