Steps
- Apply to join the moderation team. Read the Moderating Photos handbook page and fill out the form to apply. Wait for a confirmation email.

Open the moderation queue. Log in to the WordPress Photo Directory and navigate to the moderation queue.

Review a photo. Select a photo and verify it meets the content and quality guidelines.

Approve or decline. If you decline, leave a clear reason so the contributor knows what to improve.

Work in small batches. When there are multiple photos to review, review one photo at a time rather than rushing through.

Your moderation decisions take effect immediately. Continue to moderate regularly and build familiarity with edge cases in the guidelines.
