Help grow the pathways index by suggesting a new contribution pathway. You can point to an existing process already documented in a team handbook, or share a contribution idea that’s supported by a team.

Steps
- Check if it already exists. Search the Pathways project board to make sure your idea isn’t already there. If it is, add feedback or volunteer to draft a guide.
-
Confirm it’s based on existing work. Ask yourself: is this idea based on an existing, already-maintained process or team? If it’s something new that would need ongoing maintenance, it’ll need team vetting first.
-
Gather relevant context. Collect any relevant links — handbook pages, team channels, documentation, or examples that support your idea.
-
File a New Pathway issue. Go to File a New Pathway issue, include the links and context you gathered, and submit. File an issue rather than editing the pathways index directly — the issue process ensures your idea gets proper review.

What happens next
Your suggestion goes to the project board for review. You can volunteer to write the guide yourself, or someone else from the community can pick it up.
