  • iOS: When you write a new post, the app automatically saves drafts on your device, so none of your work is ever lost.
  • Android: We’ve restyled a few more screens to keep improving consistency across the app.
  • Mobile Gutenberg: We upgraded to the latest React Native version (getting us closer to Gutenberg web’s setup). We are moving forward with the bottom fixed formatting toolbar and the writing flow (new blocks on “Return” key).

In the last two weeks the team has worked on:

  • Save for Later: Users can now save posts in the Reader by tapping the bookmark icon on a post. Saved posts will be available in the Saved Posts list. The text of the saved posts is available when offline too (images aren’t guaranteed to be available offline in this initial release). Note: Saved Posts is currently a device-specific feature, which means that saved posts aren’t synced between devices or the web, and will be lost in case of logging out or uninstalling the app.
  • Support for displaying GIF images has gained some additional improvements.
  • [iOS] Fix an issue with internationalized domain names during login (issue).
  • [iOS] Fix for geo location display problems in some localizations (issue).
  • A lot of work on improving Aztec’s compatibility with Gutenberg.
  • Some progress on the Aztec React Native component.
