@ipstenu : Seems all done except Glossary.
MySQL in Plesk done. 15 minutes work 😉
Thanks a lot Mika. I am cooking Plesk on a new blank server. I will write on that HTTPS today, thats 30 minutes work. Tomorrow Plesk.
Is c3mdigital is working on that “Create a MySQL Database and User in Plesk” one ? I can create it and that HTTPS one.
I sent you a link to be added as an editor. Go ahead and write those pages. C3 got nailed by real life. 🙂
Created the Static Front Page based on 3.5 with screenshot. This page will probably need updating close to the 3.5 release as I’m not sure (as yet) how to handle the editing of the url of the main posts page.
Let me in as there is documentation I have which I add to my customers WordPress site back-end.
Oh! Pick me!
Here’s a link to the outline I use at our Beginner’s Workshops: http://mynameisangie.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Beginners_Workshop_WordPress_Sessions_.pdf
Picked and go edit 😉
A few things:
I would put “Finding a Host” under “Setting up WordPress” – this leaves the “About” Section purely “about” WP as opposed to about hosting companies too. Also, it’ll be mean that someone who wants to set up WP can find everything they need for that one one place.
We could break “Customizing WordPress” out into two sections:
1. Customizing WordPress (themes & other design/layout stuff)
2. Extending WordPress (plugins)
Move “Settings” underneath “Just Write”
Some suggestions for things to add/move:
Getting to Know WordPress
Advanced stuff should just be linked elsewhere I think (- the Themers Manual? The Plugin Developers Manual? 🙂 )
Made tweaks 🙂
