  • @ipstenu reminds us that we should test our plugins against 4.2, which is due to be released this week. PluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party authors should have received an email summarizing the “supported” status of their plugins, and urging them to test against 4.2.
  • @pento outlines proper escaping techniques when using `add_query_arg()` and `remove_query_arg()`. This is related to coordinated security release by a number of popular plugins this week, a number of which were autoupdated. Read pento’s post for more details.
