Here are some important updates from the Training Team!
- 🏕️ WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. US 2025: our dear colleagues @jonathanbossenger and @westnz will be Training Team Table Lead and Team representatives for the WordCamp US 2025 Contributor Day
- 🖼️ The Training Team Blog homepage is updated: you can find Recent Updates and Achievements by visiting the Training Team Blog homepage.
- 🌍 Huge translation project closed – The course “Open sourceOpen Source Open Source denotes software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified. Open Source **must be** delivered via a licensing model, see GPL. basics and WordPress” has been translated into Italian.
- 🧭 Training Team Coffee Hour is live again! It is added to the Training Team meeting calendar, and it is held every Saturday at 13UTC.
- 📣 Announced the first cohort from the Training Team – we prepared the 6-week course titled “WordPress BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor Basics”. ⚒️ Training Team Activities in July Overview
We hosted 5 team meetings and 4 Coffee Hours from the Training Team. Weekly meetings were facilitated by team reps, and coffee hours by Training Team contributors. You can read the recap notes on the Training Team blog.
