Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: We fixed issues with Gallery block not being rendered properly for users using old WordPress versions, missing translations on Android for specific locales, missing alt text when inserting images. As well as, fixed issue related to post preview adjusting for device orientation changes, and improved the performance of the RichText component.
  • Other Projects: Support HEIC/ HEIF files in media picker on Android.
