Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: We added a GIF badge in Image blocks, fixed the index start and reversed mode for the List block, and did some small refinements to the media upload error message.
  • Other projects: Fixed an issue preventing users from changing profile pictures and an issue preventing the new password input keyboard from being dismissed on iOS. We also fixed a long-standing TransactionTooLargeException crash that could happen when accessing post history details.
  • Infrastructure: Continued migrating various projects to use BuildKite. Almost completed the Android Depency Update project that aimed to update some critical dependencies in order to allow developers to use the latest tooling.
