Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: We fixed a pasting issue from MS Word on iOS, an undo/redo bug when content has links on rich-text, and a translations issue of the inserter tabs. Media upload options in Gallery block now auto-open. Added clipboard link suggestion to Image block and Buttons block and fixed a bug rendering text with a big font size when created in the web
  • Other projects:  On WPAndroid the reader Threaded Comments UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing. design has been refreshed: comments are easier to parse, post author comments are marked with an “Author” badge and it’s now possible to share a link to a comment. We made visual improvements for the comments Reply and Empty views (shipping in 18.7 release).
  • Infrastructure: Continued working on the Localization Toolchain Modernization project, collaborating with developers on WP My Site Dashboard, and Onboarding Improvements.
