Highlights for the last two weeks:
- BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: Added Help menu option that teaches users about the block editor. Fixed an issue with the slash inserter suggestion icons.
- Full Site Editing: Shipped improvements to the Color settings.
- Other projects: Time selection for Blogging Reminders, and “Share WordPress with a Friend” feature! On WPiOS we addressed visual glitches with the Site Settings screen scroll performance, the Reader’s featured images, and deleted comments. We also fixed an issue that prevented plugins to be scrollable and actionable on iOS.
- Infrastructure: More work on the CI migrationMigration Moving the code, database and media files for a website site from one server to another. Most typically done when changing hosting companies. project, and upgraded various projects to Gradle 7.
