Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: Users can now set the text and background colors on blocks, and floating keyboard issue fixes on iOS.
  • Other projects: Install and manage plugins without Jetpack.
  • Infrastructure: Progress on developing our new CI system, update to the mobile secrets management, the new Android modularized architecture, and the automated tests for WPiOS login.
