Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: Rolled out (50% of users) a block picker tooltip inviting users to add blocks. Fixed some bugs related to border radius settings and slash inserter.
  • Other projects: Blogging Reminders on both Android and iOS, and reinstated the blue iOS and Android icons after Pride month ending. Fixed a crash on Android when uploading webp images.
  • Infrastructure: Good progress on the new CI project and using BuildKite, the WordPress login tests and continued to fix and improve our release tools.
