WordPress 5.6 released
On December 8th, WordPress 5.6 “Simone” was released.
Three silent release candidates were added to the schedule
Twenty Twenty-One and Twenty Nineteen received updates two weeks after 5.6 was released.

GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/
