Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: Pullquote block placeholder on Android fixed and block now released on WPAndroid too (was previously on WPiOS only).
  • Full Site Editing: Shipped: Wide/full width support for Group, Cover, Image blocks; Rounded image support for Image block. Progress on the Layout picker and link to existing content.
  • Other Projects: More Unified Login & Signup flows are shipping in WPiOS 15.7. Android Media Picker now supports extra file types, has search, and UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with.
