Highlights for the last two weeks:
- BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: Shipped fix for editing classic blocks using the unsupported block editor. Began adding offline support for inserting mentions.
- Full Site Editing: Shipped Gallery image editing, Navigation inside BottomSheet, Slider improvements to reflect changes immediately, Undo/Redo improvements. Progress on the Layout picker, wide/full-width support.
- Other Projects: Unified Login & Signup is in progress for the iOS app. On Android we analyzed the results after launch and we’re happy to see more self-hosted users successfully adding a site to the app.
- Infrastructure: Decreased trend in crashes for the iOS app thanks to sustained maintenance efforts. For the Android app, we integrated encrypted logging, and implemented automated delivery of new app screenshots.
