Design team update January 24th

The design team is focusing on 5.4 as work on this releaseRelease A release is the distribution of the final version of an application. A software release may be either public or private and generally constitutes the initial or new generation of a new or upgraded application. A release is preceded by the distribution of alpha and then beta versions of the software. begins. Lots of great things happened this week including 2 triages and a team meeting.

On Wednesday the design team met at the usual time of 19:00 UTC. Monday and Tuesday saw triages run also in #design.

There is a proposal list of things to focus on for 5.4.

GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ continues to need people to give feedback and create designs.
