Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: Fixes for issues with images, image placeholders, and undo.
  • Full Site Editing: Delivered some bug fixes, made progress on Gallery upload, Button block, ShortcodeShortcode A shortcode is a placeholder used within a WordPress post, page, or widget to insert a form or function generated by a plugin in a specific location on your site. block, and Starter Page Templates.
  • Other Projects: Information Architecture improvements to the Me and Create menu items coming soon, made more progress on dark mode for Android (My Sites nearly complete), improved previews on iOS.
  • Infrastructure: Improvements to our build and development tooling.
