Design team update January 10th

After a hiatus for the end of year break, the design team is back in full force. This week saw 2 triages and 1 meeting.

Meetings and triage

On Wednesday the design team met at the usual time of 19:00 UTC. Monday and Tuesday saw triages run also in #design.

Calls for involvement

Here are some calls for involvement for the design team:

  • GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ continues to need people to give feedback and create designs.
  • Are you interested in being a notetaker for the team meetings? If so please leave a comment on last week’s notes or raise a hand in #design SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/..
  • Volunteers are also wanted for people to run triages. You will be taught how to do this so you don’t need any experience.
