Another week and here is the timely design team update.
Next week will be the last update post until New Year, with the design team agreeing to take a break in meetings from 23rd December 2019 and returning 6th January 2020. This will also include a pause in organised triage sessions over that time.
Meetings and triage
On Wednesday the design team met at the usual time of 19:00 UTC. Monday and Tuesday saw triages run also in #design.
- Post coming about Figma library 5.3 updates.
- Security and triage team profile badges are now done.
- Some are going to start working on a colour system for all profile badges.
- There is a new Gutenberg release.
Calls for involvement
Here are some calls for involvement for the design team:
- GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ continues to need people to give feedback and create designs.
- Proposal: a new color palette for WordPress still needs feedback.
