Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor:  Numerous fixes in preparation for Open Beta. 17.6% of posts are now published with the block editor! 
  • Full Site Editing: The team wrapped up the technical explorations on cross platform development and started working on the implementation items for cross platform Gallery block.
  • Offline Support: We are completing the last remaining tasks on Offline Support, and we plan to complete the project this sprint.
  • iOS 13 Updates: Dark Mode is here! We’ve also made several compatibility improvements across the app.
  • Infrastructure: We now have installable builds for Android PRs.
