Highlights for the last two weeks:

  • BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor: We are now reusing even more high level GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. We worked on various fixes improving lists, quotes, and text editing performance.
  • Full Site Editing: A new team focused on FSE kicked off work and is working on setting up some priorities for upcoming blocks, and collecting data to pave the way for the MVPMinimum Viable Product "A minimum viable product (MVP) is a product with just enough features to satisfy early customers, and to provide feedback for future product development." - WikiPedia project.
  • Offline Support: We posted our Offline Principles in the mobile blog and we continue to improve the offline posting experience.
  • iOS: You can now customize the app icon, to do so head to Me->App Settings ->App Icon and chose your favorite.
  • Infrastructure: We submitted a ReactReact React is a JavaScript library that makes it easy to reason about, construct, and maintain stateless and stateful user interfaces. https://reactjs.org/.
