Mobile Team Update – June 19th

We devoted over a week to work on small improvements and bug fixes, more notably:

  • Reader Improvements
    • We now allow users to search for sites instead of just posts for a certain topic.
    • We present Discover as a site stream.
    • We removed a secondary toolbar to clean up the UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing..
  • Aztec Editor
  • CI/Build Improvements
    • Added Danger to our PRs to automate PR validation.

    • Set up firebase testing for FluxC-Android.
  • General App Improvements

We also completed GIF support in iOS, and got Aztec-GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. compatibility to a really good place, with only minor issues remaining.
