Training Team Updates for January 27, 2016

The training team is reorganizing and refocusing on our goals to kick off 2016. We have identified five goals that we will focus on this year, in no particular order:

1. Content flow solution for tracking changes in lesson plans and making sure revisionsRevisions The WordPress revisions system stores a record of each saved draft or published update. The revision system allows you to see what changes were made in each revision by dragging a slider (or using the Next/Previous buttons). 2. More solid copyediting process
3. Proper team handbook
4. Outreach to local groups
5. An accessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). We are working on segmenting these goals out into timelines that make sense and are possible for the team to accomplish.
