Since we [began with our mentoring program](https://make.wordpress.org/themes/2014/09/05/call-for-theme-review-mentors/)
we’ve had several people that are looking to learn to review themes and some that
would love to teach as well. [Currently](https://make.wordpress.org/themes/2014/10/02/mentoring-update/)
there are 7 mentors ( [@karmatosed](https://profiles.wordpress.org/karmatosed/),
[@jcastaneda](https://profiles.wordpress.org/jcastaneda/), [@rohitink](https://profiles.wordpress.org/rohitink/),
[@gpriday](https://profiles.wordpress.org/gpriday/), [@grapperulrich](https://profiles.wordpress.org/grapperulrich/),
[@caththemes](https://profiles.wordpress.org/caththemes/) and [@harimaliya](https://profiles.wordpress.org/harimaliya/)).

In our most [current meeting ](https://irclogs.wordpress.org/chanlog.php?channel=wordpress-themes&day=2014-09-30&sort=asc#m110728)
we took some time to help out some new reviewers from WordCampWordCamp WordCamps
are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress.
They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach
one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. [Learn more](https://central.wordcamp.org/about/).

 3. It’s great to see more tickets closed than open over the last 7 days. Here’s hoping
we can get enough new reviewers on board to start making a dent in the massive
    backlog.
