What’s New

  • V. 3.7 of the iOSiOS The operating system used on iPhones and iPads. app has been delayed further since some serious bugs have popped up, still trying to submit it (this week). Patches welcome! This release includes the new, native, WordPress.comWordPress.com An online implementation of WordPress code that lets you immediately access a new WordPress environment to publish your content. WordPress.com is a private company owned by Automattic that hosts the largest multisite in the world. This is arguably the best place to start blogging if you have never touched WordPress before. https://wordpress.com/ Reader.
  • Work continues on the iOS app refactor and iOS7 updates
  • A betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. of the categories release for the Android app has been out since last week, but it’s been buggy. Hoping to submit by Wednesday this week.
  • Media and Theme selection for the Android app are coming along nicely, no other update there
  • Native WordPress.com Reader for Android is making progress but is not ready to be merged with the rest of the app yet

What’s Next

  • Submit v. 3.7 of the iOS app (native WordPress.com Reader)
  • Continue working on iOS app refactor and iOS7 updates
  • Release categories update for the Android app
  • Continue working on Media, Theme selection, and Native WordPress.com Reader, all for the Android app.
