There has been some recent discussion between reviewers and Otto on how to improve our review process and speed.

Some of the ideas for the review queue:

  • Auto reject plugins with non-standard characters in their names
  • Highlight plugins that contain “plugin” in their name, since this isn’t allowed (usually)
  • Auto detecting the presence of readme.txt files inside of .zip archives and auto reject those without one

Some ideas for improving SupportPress:

  • User lookup from password reset (completed)
  • Set “Send and Close” to be the default action (complete)
  • Showing replies at the top of emails by default
