Docs Team Update June 30, 2013

This Week

  • Supportumentation — The Docs Team is leaning toward merging back with Support after six months apart. This will allow us to, among other things, form a unified support hub and entry point to WordPress help and documentation
  • Team elections will probably be happening soon, so interested people should put themselves forward because it’s a great way to get involved!
  • The Theme Developer Handbook is looking pretty near to completion. Thanks to @iandunn for recent work on it and @sewmyheadon for volunteering to edit it
  • @nacin is working on a Code Reference betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. this week. Next Week

  • Work will continue on finalizing the Theme Developer Handbook and starting the Code Reference beta
