Otto made a change to let moderators move reviews to the right pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party (a problem we did not forsee happening… You’d think people would know what plugin they’re using).
At this time, we will not be deleting bad reviews that should have been a support post instead. As a dev, you should attempt to win the user over, and tell them they can change their review 🙂 Yes, you can re-score your review! Please tell them.
This also is a point to remind devs, if you guys act like jerks and embarrass yourself while dealing with a user, we don’t delete those posts either. We may close them, but you’re expected to act like mature people too, folks.
Related: If you’re getting emails from people from the forums that are unsolicited and impolite, please let us know. You can email the forum list, or forward it on to me personally if you don’t want to make it majorly public. Having a bad experience is in no way an excuse to harass people. In return all we ask is you not feed the trolls, eh?
3.6 is on the way, so please please please try it out. 🙂 The new admin icons didn’t make it (see MP6) but if you spot stuff that’s busted, or things that have changed majorly, speak up. As soon as we hit BetaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. I’ll be drafting the OMGWTFBBQ post, and I’ll need your help to explain the new features.
