We use this P2P2 “P2” is the name of the theme the blogs of make.wordpress.org use. When asked to post or view something “on the p2” by a member of the WPTV team, that usually means you’re asked to check https://make.wordpress.org/tv. to post our progress, status reports, and occasional geeky video debates. Use the “Subscribe to Blog via Email” widgetWidget A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page. Producer Logo in Videos

We have a video in the Pending queue that has a producer logo at the end.
      http://wordpress.tv/2015/09/21/why-attend-wordcamp/

It is a wonderful upbeat video that is well shot and very well edited.

Our stated policy is no commercial content.

However, we now put the Producer .org username on the main video page and we have allowed company logos on slides that show in the video (with limits).

So do we need to re-examine the “no producer logo” at the end of a video also? Especially for those who volunteer their efforts.

i would think if we are to allow it anywhere endslate would be the place what are the guidelines regarding logos inside slide frames exactly anyway?

As long as the logo does not dominate the slide or video then it is generally fine.

Interestingly, I did have a long chat with other team reps about softening our stance with regard to letting producers add end credits. This was a few months ago now, before we had a team P2P2 “P2” is the name of the theme the blogs of make.wordpress.org use. When asked to post or view something “on the p2” by a member of the WPTV team, that usually means you’re asked to check https://make.wordpress.org/tv., and actually the .org username “producer” credit came out of that discussion. That is to say that we have the producer credit to use as a tool to avoid adding credits into the video, and I think that is the safest stance to go with.

I personally don’t have a problem with allowing a slide at the end of the video, but I do see how it is a slippery slope, and at the end of the day, despite the fact that embedded credits are commonplace in the video world, they are VERY UNCOMMON in the WordPress contributor community. We should probably stick to that, as it embraces the spirit of open sourceOpen Source Open Source denotes software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified. Open Source **must be** delivered via a licensing model, see GPL..
