Now that the Atlanta WordCamp is over we’re…

Now that the Atlanta WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. is over we’re starting to have some WordPress meetups. I hope to get these on video and use what I learned from WordCamp and these meetups to suggest ways to get more videos on WordPressTV.

I uploaded my first meetupMeetup All local/regional gatherings that are officially a part of the WordPress world but are not WordCamps are organized through https://www.meetup.com/. A meetup is typically a chance for local WordPress users to get together and share new ideas and seek help from one another. Searching for ‘WordPress’ on meetup.com will help you find options in your area. and would like to get comments and open a discussion about making better videos.

My Settings and Information:
I used a Sony HDR-CX360 camcorder.
I used the internal memory and the internal mic set to 2ch stereo at low mode.
This was shot in a small room with florescent lighting.
It was shot at 1280 X 720 HD (interlaced at 60 FPS).
The meetup ran 1 hour and 29 minutes. This gave me a 6 gig file to convert.
I used HandBrake to convert the m2ts file to an mp4 and then used Camtasia Studio to add a title clip and made the edits.
This produced a 2.3 gig file that I then reduced using HandBrake again.
Since this was a large file to start, I had to convert it this additional time to get it small enough to upload to WordPressTV.
I ended up with a 850 meg file which I uploaded to WordPressTV.
Most videos should be shorter and would not require that extra conversion step.

I have another meetup to video Thursday.

Any suggestions or recommendations on how to improve the video and the process?
