Welcome to the official blog of the TV review team for WordPress.tv

We approve and publish all videos on WordPress.tv as well as help WordCamps with video post-production and captioning and subtitling of published videos.

We use this P2P2 “P2” is the name of the theme the blogs of make.wordpress.org use. When asked to post or view something “on the p2” by a member of the WPTV team, that usually means you’re asked to check https://make.wordpress.org/tv. to post our progress, status reports, and occasional geeky video debates. Weekly meetings

We use Slack for real-time communication. As contributors live all over the world, there are discussions happening at all hours of the day. We have weekly team meetings every Thursday at 17:00 UTC, and they are open to the public!

Not in front of a computer right now, so I’ll look later – are Erick’s slides posted online anywhere? If we include the link in the description, would that help? I haven’t watched the video yet.

They may be posted, but I did not look. I’ll see what I can find.

That said, the video is kinda bad as the projector was broken for the first 10 minutes, so the presenter (in a tough spot) had to wing it. It became an informal Q&A for a while as a result, and it is hard to hear the questions from the room. Even with slides, this may not be a good video to have on the site.

    I just watched most of Erick’s video. Once you have the slides to follow along, I think it’s fine. The Q&A at the beginning is a bit tough – with a bit of understanding about what he’s talking about, you can follow along, but for someone unfamiliar with the topic, those 12 minutes or so leave a little to be desired. Overall, with the slides, I’d say keep it.
    
    Personally, I’d like to see an effort between speakers/organizers and us to post links to slides with the videos. The best way is probably to encourage the posters to include the links in the description. Even in a video where you can see the screen, it’s sometimes hard to make out bits of code and other things like that, depending on the color contrast.
