They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/<\/a> or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.<\/span><\/span><\/span> to help contributors create standardized WordPress learning materials more efficiently. These tools are now available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/WordPress\/Learn\/tree\/trunk\/WordPress%20Facilitator%20Training%20Program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn WordPress GitHub repository<\/a> for anyone to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are these tools?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are purpose-built prompts usable in any AI platform and a Claude plugin designed to assist with three <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>core<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Core<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress.<\/span><\/span><\/span> tasks in a standardized, WordPress way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Co-writing course content<\/strong>\u00a0for Learn WordPress, whether drafting new lessons or revising existing ones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creating facilitation guides<\/strong>\u00a0for 2-3 day workshops based on Learn WordPress courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creating facilitator slides<\/strong>\u00a0to accompany those workshops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key word here is <em>standardized<\/em>. Each tool follows a consistent structure and draws from existing Learn WordPress source content, so the outputs align with how we already do things on the Training Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What has been created so far?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These tools were used to produce the first complete facilitator toolkit for the <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.wordpress.org\/course\/leading-wordpress-education-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leading WordPress Education Programs course<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/15zlJTDc8qONihe495OuAga-UlRY8Ylzxu0gM1PHLtI8\/edit?tab=t.0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leading WordPress Education Programs facilitation guide<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1stzbHxNoW5gxaZdfa1dwCvWENm1geuNH\/edit?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=105593293784291115388&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leading WordPress Education Programs facilitator slides<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with the course itself, these form a repeatable toolkit that any facilitator can pick up to learn, teach, and run a WordPress workshop. We are lining up pilot workshops at schools in Bangladesh and India to test and refine these materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A note on AI as a co-creator<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These tools are designed to assist, not replace, human contributors. AI is a powerful co-creator, but it is not the creator. Every piece of content produced with these tools still needs human supervision, guidance, and review throughout the process. You bring the expertise, context, and judgment, and the AI helps you move faster and stay consistent.
