Some resources to help you prepare for your live Online Workshop:

  1. Meeting place
    1. #training channel in Make WordPress slackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. for text-based online workshop.
      1. You’ll need to have a Make WordPress slack account, which can easily be done by clicking here.
    2. You can use a video conferencing platform of your choice.
  2. Slides
    1. To support your online workshop, you can use Google Slides or Canva.  Please note that slides are not required.  If you would like access to the Learn WordPress Canva account, please request in the #training channel.
  3. Promoting
    1. You can promote your online workshop on the Learn WordPress Meetup page.  Send a message to the organizers or post on the #training channel.

Here are a few ways to prepare before your online workshop:

  • Zoom in on any screens that you are sharing so that your audience can read the text.
  • Zoom in on your speaker notes ahead of time if you are using any for reference.
  • Activate live closed captioning in Zoom.
  • Make sure that any polls have been pre-entered into your Zoom meeting if you plan to use them.
