Checklist for Removing Access When a Faculty Member Is Inactive

If a Faculty member needs to be completely removed/offboarded, please use this checklist instead.

Here’s the list of things we need to do when a Faculty member confirms that they are not active anymore. If you are assisting with changing the Faculty member to inactive, please Communicate with them about removing access chat or a discussion, before starting the process. Once confirmed, follow the following procedure:

  • Remove from private Faculty SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. channel
  • Remove from the Faculty Member list (and move from Current to Past Faculty on the details spreadsheet)
  • Change Editor role to Contributor on https://make.wordpress.org/training
  • Ask a Slack admin/MetaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress. developer to remove from (@faculty) Slack group, as well as any role-specific Faculty groups (i.e., begins with @faculty-).
