  • Copyediting – Check lesson plans for grammar, spelling and punctuation and make sure it aligns with our style guide.
  • Testing – Help run tests of beta lessons at Meetups or workshops and let us know how it went.
  • Auditing  – Check content for accuracy with the current version of WordPress
  • Connecting – Group lesson plans that together would coordinate for a workshop
  • Reviewing – Screenshots to compare with current appearances
  • Creating – Slides for instructors to use
  • Planning – Organize workshop topics by sequencing lesson plans

How Can I Start Working? How Can I Start Working?

  1. Choose a lesson you are interested in writing. You may also pick up an abandoned lesson.
  2. Read Anatomy of a Lesson Plan and our Style Guide to get oriented with how lesson plans are structured and formatted.
  3. Check out the Child Themes lesson for an example of a complete lesson.
  4. Attend our weekly chat Thursday, December 27, 2018, 2:30 PM EST  on our Slack channel or fill out our contact form and let us know what lesson you are interested in creating. We can get you set up from there.

Do We Create Videos? Do We Create Videos?

Yes! Our videos are located on the team Youtube channel. Our videos are created to help facilitate instructors. We will help teachers get up to speed to access and use our materials, as well as to help Training Team Contributors work on Training Team projects.

Slides are a much sought-after resource for teachers. Please refer to our lesson plans to access slides for lesson plans. Do note, we are in the process of creating slides for each lesson plan and must meet specific criteria on the format and file type of slides.
