Looking for feedback
- The Training Team is planning to participate in Contributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. They are events where people get together to work on various areas of https://make.wordpress.org/ There are many teams that people can participate in, each with a different focus. https://2017.us.wordcamp.org/contributor-day/ https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/getting-started/getting-started-at-a-contributor-day/. at WordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. Asia 2026 in Mumbai. Team members and attendees are invited to share ideas, suggestions, and feedback on how to enhance the Contributor Day experience and make it more impactful for contributors.
- For each flagship event, the Training Team organizes an Online Contributor Day alongside the in-person Contributor Day. The team is currently seeking a host and a co-host for the upcoming Online Contributor Day. Interested contributors are encouraged to review the details and apply accordingly.

- The Training Team has identified a shortage of content creators and is seeking ideas on how to attract more dedicated contributors. Input is especially welcomed on encouraging local content creators who can translate existing English materials into their native languages, helping expand the reach and accessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). - The Training Team is planning to organize upcoming workshops and is seeking community input on topics that would be most valuable and relevant. Contributors are encouraged to share areas they would like to learn more about so the workshops can be designed to better meet current learning needs. [Slack Thread]
Looking for volunteers
- The Training Team has decided to conduct a thorough review of several courses included in the WordPress Credit course. The goal of this review is to identify and fix misspellings, typographical errors, broken links, and any outdated information to ensure the content remains accurate and up to date.
- Community members are encouraged to review these courses and report any issues by creating GitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/ issues whenever content requiring attention is identified.

Project updates
- Course Cohort
- The WordPress Block Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor Basics Bengali course cohort has completed Week 6. The total number of weeks for the cohort will be confirmed by @devmuhib.

Contributor Updates
- During the weekly check-in, contributors shared updates on their progress and current activities:
- @mebo: reported being elected as a WordPress Credits Mentor and has begun work on the website for the first WordPress Campus Event, scheduled at the University of Pula in March 2026. She hopes to recruit local volunteers to assist with the project.
- @rjekic: congratulated @mebo on her achievement and expressed support for her initiative.
