Training Team – Call for Admin Team Members

Our Training Team community is growing rapidly! Every day, more contributors are joining, and more students are getting involved through the WordPress Campus Connect and WPCredits programs. Recently, we’ve reactivated several projects, with even more exciting initiatives coming to life. With this growth comes a simple need — people who are ready to support others and help our community thrive.

Since the election of the new Team Reps is officially over, we are inviting new volunteers to join our Admin Group — a small, dedicated team that helps guide and support contributors within the Training Team.

What does the Admin Group do?

Admin team members play a vital role in helping other contributors and team members. They:

• Answer questions and guide contributors.
• Welcome and onboard new members, including students from Campus Connect programs.
• Help coordinate ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Foster a friendly, inclusive, and collaborative community culture.

Admins lead by example — with reliability, empathy, and a spirit of teamwork.

Who can join?

You don’t need to be an expert or have previous leadership experience. What matters most is your willingness to help others and your ability to dedicate around one hour per week to supporting the community.

We are all volunteers here. We are learning, sharing knowledge, and growing together.

You won’t be alone

Every new admin receives a clear onboarding guide and ongoing support throughout their tenure. You’ll always have someone to reach out to with questions, and other experienced admins will be there to help you every step of the way.

Time commitment

To join, you’ll need to:

• Contribute at least 1 hour per week.
• Attend the weekly team meeting and share updates from contributors.
• Commit to a minimum of 6 months of participation.
