Updates from last week’s dev-squad triage session

The next dev-squad triage session is scheduled for 07:00 UTC in the #meta-learn channel. These bi-weekly meetings focus on reviewing open PRs and addressing new bugs from the Learn WordPress GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/ repository.

  • Mentorship cohort

    The Q4 mentorship program is fully booked, so sessions will be delivered through Online Workshops covering various aspects of the WordPress project and team introductions. These workshops will be scheduled soon and open to the public.

@jessecowens Volunteered to lead the REST APIREST API The REST API is an acronym for the RESTful Application Program Interface (API) that uses HTTP requests to GET, PUT, POST and DELETE data. It is how the front end of an application (think “phone app” or “website”) can communicate with the data store (think “database” or “file system”) https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/. module for the intermediate developer pathway at WCUS and is now back from the event, excited to provide updates before next week’s meeting.

@west7 Made progress on the Designer Learning Pathway outline, created a new lesson, and is currently working on scriptwriting for another lesson.

@digitalchild Conducted some reviews but has been limited due to traveling.

@zoonini Focused on the Guide program administration, handling deprecated tutorial redirects, and migrating tutorials to lessons, before starting a 3-month sabbatical on Oct. 3.
