Online Workshop MeetupMeetup All local/regional gatherings that are officially a part of the WordPress world but are not WordCamps are organized through https://www.meetup.com/. A meetup is typically a chance for local WordPress users to get together and share new ideas and seek help from one another. Searching for ‘WordPress’ on meetup.com will help you find options in your area. Survey

Current Focus Areas

We’ve refreshed the current focus areas on the Make WordPress Training page to ensure it’s up-to-date and clearly displays our active projects:

  • Revised the top section to highlight only our goals.
  • Removed the Highlight section.
  • Updated the “Work in Progress” area.
  • Prioritized three projects at a time for the team.

    • Online workshops and onboarding
    • Successfully completed a three-part workshop and am becoming more adept at creating subtitles and using Otter.
  • @jagirbahesh:
    • Translated the topics into Gujarati.
  • @west7:
    • Published a new lesson: Exploring WordPress 6.6
    • Created a new lesson about CDNs and shared for review
  • @cnormandigital:
    • Publishing the Intermediate Theme Developer learning pathway lessons.
  • @rfluethi:
    • Started translating learning paths and understanding the process.
    • Trying to better place the Learn page on the German and Swiss sites, but the menus are hard to customize.
  • @zoonini:
    • Preparing for the Learn launch: News & Make Training posts, GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/ issues, teaser video (voice-over recorded), two Online Workshops, thumbnail project, learner survey feedback.
    • Administering Guide program: matching contributors with Guides.
    • Drafting a handbook page for Faculty program retirement, detailing the team’s history.
  • @courane01:
    • She is working on the contributor dashboards.
  • @digitalchild:
    • Working on pathways video reviews and assisting in script technical support.
    • Reviewed several videos and scripts.
