Summary Update: Courses Currently in Development
Currently, we have four courses in development. Here is an overview of what is being worked on and relevant links to follow if you are interested to learn more.
Block Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Development Course:
@mburridge has finished this course’s planning phase as well as the course outline. The
example project for the tutorial is complete. He is currently building the course in
Sensei. He has completed Module 1 and is making solid progress. Follow the
Github GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. Two Block Theme Development Courses
@psykro and
@arasae are in the process of researching and refining the outlines for these two courses, with a focus on course 1. They have set up meetings with existing block theme developers to gather feedback before continuing. Once they have created the outlines, they will be publishing them on separate GitHub issues which will be used to track course progress.

Create your First App with Gutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ Data Course

Create your First App with Gutenberg Data. He has created a course outline and has identified assessments and activities to ascertain if the learning outcomes have been met. Once the feedback on the last part of the handbook page has been shipped, he will start fitting it all into
