### Status of Lesson Plans in Progress

 *  **Managing Media** ([@mikemueller](https://profiles.wordpress.org/mikemueller/))

   Mike is almost done with Media Manager: “I have the document, image, and sound
   done, just need to do the video aspect and then the questions.””
 * **Choosing and Installing Plugins** ([@suzettefranck](https://profiles.wordpress.org/suzettefranck/))

   Suzette: “I have added screenshots and finalized the lesson, and it is ready
   for copy-editing.”

#### Testing lesson plans

 * **Intro to CSSCSS CSS is an acronym for cascading style sheets. This is what
   controls the design or look and feel of a site.** ([@kdrewien](https://profiles.wordpress.org/kdrewien/))

   Kathy reported back on testing Into to CSS at a MeetupMeetup All local/regional
   gatherings that are officially a part of the WordPress world but are not WordCamps
   are organized through [https://www.meetup.com/](https://www.meetup.com/). A meetup
   is typically a chance for local WordPress users to get together and share new
   ideas and seek help from one another. Searching for ‘WordPress’ on meetup.com
   will help you find options in your area.: “Feedback from my colleagues afterward
   suggested a more thorough description of what CSS is before the walkthrough.
   The walkthrough took a lot longer than I anticipated even after eliminating one
   of the exercises. It took 45 minutes to get everyone logged in to multisiteMultisite
   Multisite is a WordPress feature which allows users to create a network of sites
   on a single WordPress installation. Available since WordPress version 3.0, Multisite
   is a continuation of WPMU or WordPress Multiuser project. WordPress MultiUser
   project was discontinued and its features were included into WordPress core.
   [Advanced Administration Handbook -> Create A Network.](https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/multisite/create-network/)
   Practice Site Demo and 2 hours for exercises”
 * **General**
    We will make a column for time on the spread sheet and enter in
   the time it took based on live testing.

### Other Items

 * **Copyediting** ([@bethsoderberg](https://profiles.wordpress.org/bethsoderberg/))

   Beth recruited a potential new copyeditor, Rob. She will coordinate with him.
 * **WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering
   everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress
   community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout
   the year and share the joy. [Learn more](https://central.wordcamp.org/about/).
   Lancaster – Feb 28** ([@courtneyengle](https://profiles.wordpress.org/courtneyengle/),
   [@courtneydawn](https://profiles.wordpress.org/courtneydawn/), [@liljimmi](https://profiles.wordpress.org/liljimmi/),
   [@bethsoderberg](https://profiles.wordpress.org/bethsoderberg/) and [@juliekuehl](https://profiles.wordpress.org/juliekuehl/))

   Courtney set a deadline date of a week before WCLanc to get slide content done.
   Tracy is going to create a repo on GithubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers
   online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and
   modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories
   require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’
   where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed
   before being merged by the repository owner. [https://github.com/](https://github.com/)
   of a base reveal.js deck and make Courtney, Beth, Julie and Courtney contributors.
   We can all work on it that way.
